- Each
week, this is a special time for families with young children to sing
songs, read stories, learn about Shabbat, Jewish holidays and some Hebrew.
Weekly Minyan
is an important Mitzvah showing support for our congregants who are
observing a yahrzeit for someone they love. Our weekday Minyans take place
on Sundays at 9:00am, Tuesdays at 7:00am, and Thursdays at 7:00 am. Please
help our community with this important, time honored

- JOIN US AS WE CONTINUE TO READ A CHAPTER A DAY!!!!! Our
study of Jewish texts will continue what it means to be the People of
the Book. This week we will complete the book of Nahum (3 chapters);
the book of Habakkuk (3 chapters) and the book of Zephaniah (3
chapters).We invite everyone to join us Sunday mornings at 10:00 a.m. in
the synagogue library. Feel free to contact Mike Kuperman for

Kever Avot Service
- Please join us this Sunday at 12:30 p.m. for a community Kever Avot
service at the Jewish Emmanuel Woodland Cemetery. Another Kever Avot
service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the Jewish Glendale Cemetery.

- Sweets are needed for the Break the Fast. We are again asking the
congregation to come and cook with us in our kitchen or you can make a
donation so that kosher sweets may be purchased. We would like to
have you bring your favorite recipe and the ingredients and come to the
Synagogue (after 10:00 am) and bake them there so that we may store them
in the kitchen freezer. We will be working in the kitchen on Wednesday,
October 1st, Sunday, October 5th, Monday, October
6th and Tuesday, Oct 7th. Sweets may be pareve
or dairy and do not have to be limited to honey cake. Your fellow

Morning Men’s Basketball ½ Court Pick-Up Games at Beth El Jacob. Contact Taking
the Holidays Home
- The Jewish Federation JeLI Program presents “Taking the Holidays Home”
as the theme for this year. Programs will run on Sunday mornings at Temple
B’nai Jeshurun during Sunday School classes. The first series will
concentrate on Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Sukkot and Simchat Torah. The
program will concentrate on the meaning of the holidays and building our
own traditions at home and within the community. As in all things Jewish,
there will be a little study, a little food and activities to focus on
with our children. Remaining

28th, October 5th and 12th. Breakfast and
Schmooze will be from 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. Class will begin at 10:00
